Heather McCaw

With almost 30 years of experience in the post-secondary advancement sector, Heather McCaw has led the UBC fundraising and alumni engagement portfolio as Vice-President since 2018 after returning to her alma mater from her term as Vice-President of Advancement at the University of Alberta.

During her time as UBC’s Associate Vice-President, Development, Heather co-directed what was then the largest fundraising campaign in Canada. And now, as Vice-President, she is leading FORWARD, the campaign for UBC – the most ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement campaign in the university’s history.

In addition to her post-secondary experience, Heather was Vice-President of two associated consulting companies, Give Canada Fundraising Corporation and Spectrum Marketing Corporation. These organizations specialize in securing strategic business partnerships and multimillion-dollar donations on behalf of non-profit clients. Heather’s volunteer activities have focused on social services, education and disability resources.

A proud UBC alum who holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the UBC Sauder School of Business, Heather is passionate about the promise and potential of donors and alumni working together, with UBC, to help move the world forward.
